Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems.
- Execute oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Repair and replace mechanical systems such as air brakes, suspension components, auto body parts, and auto estimating as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools to complete repairs with precision.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems effectively.
- Ensure all work meets dealership quality standards and customer expectations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience working as an automotive technician or mechanic within a fast-paced service environment.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, transmission repair, and powertrain systems.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, auto estimating procedures, and GM vehicles is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently while providing excellent customer service in a team-oriented setting.
