Position Overview
The Business Development Executive will play a critical role in driving company growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the commercial construction market.
This role requires a confident and motivated hunter, someone who thrives on building relationships, winning new clients, and representing Nino Development’s values of quality and reliability in every interaction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction business development or commercial sales, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project executives, estimators, and leadership teams to deliver competitive proposals and lasting client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, mixed-use, retail, restaurant, and healthcare construction markets.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve revenue and market growth goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, engineers, and property owners.
- Collaborate with internal estimating and operations teams to prepare proposals, bids, and presentations.
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade associations to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Maintain consistent communication with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover additional opportunities.
- Track and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to guide business strategy.
- Maintain CRM records to monitor the sales pipeline, follow-ups, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to executive leadership on sales performance and growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 3–7 years of experience in business development or sales within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals in commercial construction (mixed-use, retail, healthcare, or hospitality).
- Strong understanding of the preconstruction and project delivery process.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to represent Nino Development with professionalism and credibility in all client-facing situations.
