Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Vice President of FP&A to lead a comprehensive suite of financial reporting, analysis, strategic planning, and business collaboration activities. This role requires a blend of strong financial expertise, operational insight, and effective storytelling to guide critical investment, capital allocation, resource management, and operational decisions across the business. As the VP of FP&A, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President of FP&A and will play a key role in shaping strategic financial direction while fostering continuous improvement and robust financial stewardship across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide enterprise-wide visibility into financial performance through detailed analysis and impactful presentations.
- Work closely with the SVP of FP&A to create executive and investor reports, utilizing storytelling techniques to deliver insights that inform strategic decisions related to investment, capital allocation, resourcing, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the business.
- Lead operational excellence by collaborating with business leaders to provide decision support and drive performance improvements.
- Act as a trusted financial partner to various subsidiaries and business units, ensuring accurate financial analysis from project initiation through completion.
- Offer strategic insights by leveraging a deep understanding of business dynamics and key value drivers.
- Guide and develop the FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous growth while setting clear team objectives.
- Lead both strategic and financial planning initiatives, partnering with department heads to set organizational goals, departmental strategies, and financial forecasts.
- Oversee the annual planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial targets.
- Drive the creation of precise financial forecasts that guide organizational decision-making.
- Build and refine world-class FP&A systems, processes, and tools to support business operations.
- Shape and execute the FP&A strategy, ensuring it is aligned with broader business objectives and collaborating with various departments (Finance, HR, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Strategy, Operations, Procurement, etc.).
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and providing growth opportunities.
- Champion financial best practices across the organization and ensure compliance with relevant laws and risk management frameworks.
- Maintain robust financial reporting systems to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable insights for key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or equivalent experience preferred).
- Background in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Credit Banking, startups, or experience building FP&A functions or leading finance transformations is advantageous; familiarity with financial systems implementations is a plus.
- 12 years of progressive experience in finance, with a proven track record in FP&A leadership roles. Experience partnering with complex organizations across multiple entities and geographies is essential.
- Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of accountability.
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. Excellent business storytelling skills.
- Practical and capable of applying strategic financial thinking to real-world operations, with a focus on execution.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence senior leadership and align various stakeholders across the business.
Salary : $230,000 - $295,000
