Position Summary:

This position will report to the Director of Risk Management and take the lead in shaping and executing the organization’s project risk management strategy, processes, tools, and procedures. The Program Manager will oversee the planning, assessment, and monitoring of project risks, using data-driven insights to inform organizational decision-making, forecasting, and planning across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Risk Processes
  • Maintain and enhance existing project risk management processes and procedures, or develop new ones as needed. Oversee the integration of project risk management with other organizational risk processes.
  • Training and Support
  • Develop and deliver training on risk management practices and tools, ensuring broad adoption and consistent application. Provide ongoing support and guidance to teams using risk management software and tools.
  • Information Systems and Reporting
  • Oversee the management of risk data systems, ensuring the accuracy of data, integration across platforms, and continuous improvement of reporting templates, tools, and processes.
  • Risk Assessment for Proposals
  • Lead risk identification and assessment efforts in coordination with proposal teams during the commercial proposal process. Develop and maintain standard risk checklists to support business proposals.
  • Project Risk Planning and Reviews
  • Review and provide feedback on risk management plans for new projects. Participate in risk review meetings and support the implementation of risk management practices across projects.
  • Subject Matter Expertise
  • Offer expert advice to project risk managers and teams in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting project risks and opportunities. Assist teams in navigating risk management challenges effectively.
  • Quantitative Analysis
  • Perform quantitative risk analysis to evaluate the impact of risks on project costs and schedules. Provide actionable insights through analyses such as “what-if” scenarios, root cause analysis, and other decision-making techniques.
  • Framework Development
  • Design and oversee the integration of project risk management frameworks across various departments and projects. Define criteria for escalating project risks and transferring risks across processes.
  • Additional Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals and project risk management objectives.

  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Adheres to safety culture standards and upholds quality assurance practices in line with industry regulations and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: A minimum of a B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of experience in risk management, project/program management, or engineering. Experience in the nuclear industry is preferred. Familiarity with risk management tools and processes, such as ARM, Primavera P6, PRISM, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Palisade @Risk, is required. Strong technical writing and communication skills are essential.
  • Industry Requirements: Must be eligible to work under relevant government regulations (e.g., Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810).

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include regular sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands for operating office equipment. Employees must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and communicate effectively using a phone, computer, or in person.

Salary : $130,000 - $185,000
