The HR Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department by coordinating onboarding, benefits administration, HR processes, and employee support. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees, maintains HR records and systems, assists with compliance and reporting, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. The HR Coordinator partners closely with leadership and the Payroll and Recruiting Teams to deliver an exceptional employee experience while supporting the organization's HR objectives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience.
- Partner with Recruiting and hiring managers to ensure a seamless transition from candidate to employee.
- Administer new hire benefit enrollments and assist with ongoing benefits administration.
- Serve as a HR contact for employee questions and support.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.
- Process and track payroll-related HR deductions, including benefits and company vehicles.
- Support Leave of Absence administration, including FMLA and other protected leaves.
- Assist employees with HR forms, policies, and general employment inquiries.
- Assist with creating and updating job descriptions and collecting salary benchmarking data.
- Assist with tracking hiring, turnover, and other HR metrics.
- Develop monthly HR Spotlight communications and other employee communications.
- Create and maintain HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all functions in this role.
- Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and problem-solving initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality while providing excellent customer service and support.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Previous payroll experience or understanding of payroll processes preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive employee relationships.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
