Duties
- Prepare ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning according to recipes and menu specifications
- Cook a variety of dishes with precision, adhering to established culinary techniques and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations by cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly throughout shifts
- Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for upcoming dishes and specials
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination during meal prep and service
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery in a timely manner
Requirements
- Previous experience with Peruvian food
- Previous experience with sushi
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering experience is advantageous
