Senior Accountant

Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and record general ledger journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Analyze monthly financial results and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and departmental reporting.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
- Support inventory accounting by performing inventory reconciliations, analyzing inventory activity, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, including cash applications, customer account reconciliations, aging analysis, and resolving billing discrepancies.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with annual financial statement audits and provide supporting documentation.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- ERP or integrated accounting system experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
