Part-Time Payroll Specialist (Temp Assignment)

Nidec Genmark Automation is looking for a Part-Time Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for approximately 90 employees. This is a temporary onsite position based in Fremont, CA.

We are seeking someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced with ADP Workforce Now. This role is ideal for a payroll professional looking for a flexible part-time schedule.

Schedule

• Part-Time
• 10–20 hours per week
• Temporary assignment
• Flexible hours based on payroll schedule

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
• Review employee timecards, PTO, overtime, and payroll changes
• Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with California labor laws
• Maintain payroll records and employee information
• Handle payroll adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and direct deposit updates
• Coordinate with HR regarding onboarding, terminations, and pay changes
• Generate payroll reports and assist with reconciliations
• Respond to employee payroll questions professionally and timely

Qualifications

• ADP Workforce Now experience is required
• 3 years of payroll processing experience
• Experience processing payroll for 75–100 employees preferred
• Knowledge of California payroll laws and compliance
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred

• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
