What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll/AR Specialist position at Nidec Genmark Automation?
We are looking for a skilled A/R & Payroll Specialist to provide financial, administrative, and clerical services. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.

Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:
- Obtain, review and match shipping documents. Issue sales invoices. Maintain billing records.
- Maintain accurate domestic and foreign sales. Ensure the accuracy of account codes.
- Prepare monthly shipping log and sales report.
- Perform monthly AR, prepay, and customer deposit reconciliation.
- Apply for customer payments. Solve outstanding balance issues and handle collections. Investigate payment disputes with customers.
- In charge of review /update credit lines and credit terms.
- Maintain good working relationships with other departments and overseas branches.Payroll:
- Review time card for hourly employees. Ensure reported hours, including overtimes, are approved by group supervisors.
- Maintain accurate PTO hours for all employees. Tracking sick hours to ensure proper approval and YTD usage.
- Ensure accurate pay rates, benefit accruals, deductions are well maintained in ADP.
- Response to employees’ inquiries about the breakdown of payroll deductions.
- Reconcile payroll reports prior to transmission.
- Ensure timely submission of payroll data to ADP.
- Ensure federal and states regulations are implemented in the payroll database.
- Resolve discrepancies related to all payroll issues.
- Maintain the integrity of employees' profiles in the ADP system.
- Process manual checks for terminated employees.
- Process employee's commission, bonus, auto allowance, and expense reimbursement through the payroll system.
- Assist department manager to convert the payroll data, 401K, and PTO reports into general ledger worksheets.
- Assisting annual 401K audit.
- Assisting HR Manager as needed.
- Additional duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
- 5 years of experience in Payroll ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Good understanding of Accounting processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Office – Excel and Word.
- Attention to detail. Well organized. Not afraid of the challenge.
- Efficient communication skills.
- Willing to take new tasks if necessary.
- Team player. Ability to work well in a multi-culture environment.
