We're seeking an experienced Program Manager / Production Control professional to lead production planning, scheduling, and execution within a structural steel fabrication operation. This is a key leadership role responsible for optimizing production workflows, managing material flow, and ensuring projects are delivered on time while supporting advanced fabrication technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead production planning and scheduling to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
• Manage production control processes, including material flow, inventory tracking, job status reporting, and shop priorities.
• Utilize Tekla PowerFab to manage fabrication workflows, monitor production progress, and maintain real-time visibility.
• Coordinate with engineering, detailing, purchasing, project management, and shop teams to ensure materials, drawings, and resources are aligned.
• Generate and manage cut lists, nesting data, and production reports.
• Support programming and operation of Prodevco plasma cutting equipment and related CNC machinery.
• Optimize material utilization using ProNest nesting software.
• Review AutoCAD drawings and fabrication details to support production planning and issue resolution.
• Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety policies, and production procedures.
• Support automation initiatives, including robotic welding processes.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Tekla PowerFab
• Experience with Prodevco plasma cutting systems
• Proficiency with ProNest nesting software
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to read fabrication drawings
• Experience in Production Control, Production Planning, Scheduling, Program Management, or Manufacturing Operations
• Strong understanding of:
• Material flow
• Bill of Materials (BOMs)
• Inventory management
• Shop floor operations
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Heavy manufacturing background
• ERP/MRP systems experience

• Continuous improvement experience
