About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Export Compliance Specialist to support critical trade compliance operations within a highly regulated aerospace and defense environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring all import/export activities remain fully compliant with U.S. and international regulations.
⚙️ What You’ll Do
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations
- Prepare and review export documentation (EEI, commercial invoices, shipping records)
- Perform ECCN and HTS classifications
- Conduct restricted party screening and support export licensing
- Partner with internal teams, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Maintain audit-ready compliance records
- Identify compliance risks and drive process improvements
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years of trade compliance or import/export experience
- Strong knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations
- Hands-on experience with export documentation and classification
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
⭐ Preferred
- Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing experience
- Export licensing experience
- Trade compliance or customs certifications
