Responsibilities
Food Quality and Safety:
Ensure all food is prepared according to recipe standards and quality specifications
Monitor food temperatures and proper food handling practices
Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen workspace, adhering to all local health and safety regulations
Conduct regular food safety inspections
Inventory Management:
Track inventory levels and minimize food waste
Manage food costs and identify areas for cost reduction
Kitchen Operations:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and timely food service
- Coordinate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and service
- Monitor kitchen equipment and schedule maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- Bilingual/Spanish preferred
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in inventory management and cost control
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
