SUNY Niagara has a rewarding full-time, 10-month (tenure-track) opportunity for a Nursing Assistant Professor who will inspire and educate students in our highly regarded Associate Degree Nursing (RN) program. This position is ideal for a Nursing professional ready to make a lasting difference in students' lives and in our community.In this pivotal role, you'll teach a range of Nursing subjects—such as Fundamentals, Maternity, Med-Surg, Endocrine, Respiratory, and Pediatrics—across classroom, clinical, and lab settings. You’ll work in hands-on labs with state-of-the-art medical technology and a dedicated simulation lab designed to replicate real-life patient care scenarios. This position will also be responsible for student advisement, and participation in divisional and college activities.Teaching assignments are primarily during the day, with some evening and weekend opportunities.The base salary of $69,992 per year equates to $61.72 per hour given the 162-day professional obligation of the position. In addition to the base salary, there are many ways to increase the salary further by teaching overload, teaching summer courses, doing special assignments etc. The average salary in this position with overloads and other assignments is $75,000. There is a tenure track pathway for promotion to higher level salaries of Associate Professor and Professor.The successful candidate will only be required to work 162 days per academic year (August – May) and will be provided with a winter break from mid-December to early January, and a Spring Break for one week in mid-March.Selected candidates may be eligible to receive fully paid tuition scholarship to earn a Master’s of Science in Nursing Education.SUNY Niagara also provides phenomenal benefits.
