What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect position at NGP Management?
NGP Management, an established franchisee of Dunkin', is seeking Licensed Architect with 10-15 years’ experience. With over 110 store locations throughout Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, NGP’s assets include several commercial properties as well as sites for future development.
The ideal candidate must be self-reliant with the ability to work on commercial projects in both wood and steel and possess strong design and construction drawing skills to produce full set of biddable and buildable drawings. Experience working with outside engineers and consultants, familiarity with building regulations and town/city approvals is preferred.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Licensed architect or on path to becoming licensed
- Work with in-house licensed architect/contractor on the company’s projects, from conceptual design to closeout
- Work with our inhouse construction management team
- Extensive experience with drafting and design to produce construction documents
- Provide Construction Administration oversight on projects
- Work with outside consultants and vendors
- Interface with Dunkin, Inspire Brands and participate in their webinars
- Experience in food service a projects a plus
- ACAD, MS Office required. Sketch-up and Photoshop preferred
- Research building and zoning regulations
Our projects are internally generated and include renovations and new construction in the food service and commercial sectors.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Architectural Program
- Must have certification with NCARB/Certification
- Accomplished contract negotiation abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to travel to various work-site locations on demand using a company vehicle.
- Current and valid driver's license - Ability to pass a background check, clean driving record.
- Self-motivated with an ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
