Architect
Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Architect to lead and manage commercial construction projects from concept to completion. This role involves designing new buildings, modifying existing structures, and contributing to large redevelopment plans. The Architect will ensure that all designs are functional, safe, cost-effective, and meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling from start to finish.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Create and present design proposals and feasibility reports.
- Use CAD software to produce detailed drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate materials and prepare tender documents.
- Oversee construction progress through regular site visits.
- Ensure projects meet building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Resolve issues that arise during construction and maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with planning and building control departments.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Support additional site and commercial construction projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- NCARB certification required.
- Strong contract negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing several projects at once.
- Licensed to sign off on architectural designs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
