What are the responsibilities and job description for the Relief Residential Staff - DBT Program position at NFI Vermont, Inc.?
The NFI DBT House in Vernon, VT is hiring part-time staff in our residential program that serves four female youth, 13-18 years, who have experienced trauma, have complex behavioral challenges and tend to struggle in their relationships. Our residential counselors provide clients with the opportunity to learn valuable independent living skills while also providing necessary support and encouragement for them to succeed in the community. Responsibilities include supervising daily activities; providing ongoing support, guidance and role modeling and facilitating client improvement in areas of personal responsibility, social skills, community living skills and behavior. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, work well on a team, primarily work evening and weekend hours, have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation. Bachelor’s degree and/or previous experience working with youth with emotional/behavioral challenges preferred. Pay range $20.50-$22/hour, based on experience, with a $2.00 shift differential for any weekend hours worked.
