Counter Parts Sales - Decatur, Illinois

Wage: Hourly wage starts at $20.00 with final compensation determined by an individual's skills, certifications, education, and years of experience.

Work Schedule: Operations run 7 days a week from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Team members work a rotating schedule to ensure balanced coverage.

Shifts include weekends and holidays, so flexibility is key.

Parts Counter Sales Representative

Do you love helping people and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Have a passion for parts and service? We want YOU on our team! We’re looking for a Parts Counter Sales Representative who brings energy, teamwork, and top-notch customer service to everything they do.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the action—serving customers at the counter, in the shop, and over the phone while keeping things moving quickly and smoothly.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be a key player on our team, responsible for:

• Delivering friendly, fast, and knowledgeable service to walk-in, shop, and phone customers
• Providing accurate pricing, availability, and technical support for parts and accessories
• Processing orders, payments, returns, and credits with precision
• Tracking down out-of-stock parts and handling urgent or emergency orders
• Supporting outside sales reps with quick, reliable order fulfillment
• Keeping the parts counter clean, organized, and customer-ready
• Upselling related products and promoting specials through calls, emails, and follow-ups

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in automotive or industrial parts sales
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Positive, can-do mindset and a strong team spirit
• Comfortable using computers and processing transactions
• Sharp attention to detail with solid problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

This is an active role for someone who likes to stay moving:

• Hands-on work handling, reaching, and organizing parts
• Regular walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Lifting requirements:
  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Good close-up and distance vision to keep things accurate and efficient
