As a Shop Porter, you are a valued member of our team, performing essential duties such as:
- Moving vehicles as needed to different locations on the dealership lot
- Cleaning the interiors and exteriors of vehicles
- Perform maintenance tasks; check fluid levels, charge battery, wash and wax, etc.
- Placing stickers and signs on vehicles
- Providing assistance with keeping the lot clean and tidy at all times.
- Starting vehicles regularly and making sure there are no issues with them
- Driving and handling all vehicles responsibly to ensure damage prevention and protecting dealership property at all times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma and/or GED equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of experience in trucking and/or automotive industry
- Good driving record and Valid CDL required
- Good Customer Service Skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure and understand the fluctuating needs of our customers
- Ability to read work orders submitted by various departments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
- Computer proficiency
