Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Fleet Manager to lead all aspects of our company’s fleet operations. This role oversees the full lifecycle of fleet assets — from acquisition and maintenance to utilization, compliance, and disposition — ensuring vehicles are safe, cost-effective, and aligned with operational needs. The Fleet Manager will develop fleet policies, optimize vendor relationships, manage budgets, and provide leadership and direction to fleet personnel. The ideal candidate is a data-driven decision-maker with strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions:

· Provide strategic oversight for the entire fleet, including asset management, procurement, lifecycle planning, and vehicle standardization across markets.
· Lead, train, and develop fleet personnel, setting clear goals, performance standards, and professional growth paths.
· Monitor fleet utilization, maintenance trends, and downtime to drive efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).
· Oversee vendor relationships, negotiating service and maintenance agreements, ensuring adherence to performance standards, pricing, and timelines.
· Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations, including vehicle inspections, driver qualification files, and recordkeeping.
· Maintain accurate fleet data within digital systems (e.g., GPS, telematics, maintenance tracking, and compliance software).
· Collaborate with Accounting and Procurement on fleet budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting of fuel, maintenance, and capital expenditures.
· Manage vehicle accident and insurance claims in coordination with HR, Legal, and third-party providers.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing KPIs, service records, and operating data to identify and execute process improvements.
· Coordinate with field operations, safety, and logistics teams to support new market launches, vehicle upfitting, and equipment deployment.
· Ensure proper outfitting of vehicles with branding, safety, and emergency equipment.
· Oversee fleet policy enforcement and continuous updates to reflect organizational growth and evolving compliance standards.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
· Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in fleet management, logistics, or operations, including supervisory responsibility.
· Demonstrated success managing multi-state fleet operations and vendor partnerships.
· Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs, DOT compliance, vehicle acquisition/disposition, and fleet financial management.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and fleet management software (e.g., Fleetio, Geotab).
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
