🚨 We're Hiring: Network Engineer II – VoIP / Telecom
📍 Location: Irving, TX
🏢 Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer II with strong VoIP and telecommunications engineering expertise to support a large-scale USPS network migration project.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BroadSoft/BroadWorks, Sonus, VoIP provisioning, telephone number (TN) porting, call routing, translations, service migrations, and end-to-end troubleshooting.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Support VoIP service activations, migrations, modifications, troubleshooting, and decommissioning
• Process and validate telephone number (TN) ports and new number activations
• Perform VoIP service and TN migrations between platforms
• Manage routing profiles and translations in BroadSoft/BroadWorks environments
• Remove system translations associated with service disconnects
• Perform call testing, call tracing, and E911 verification
• Troubleshoot end-to-end call routing and network connectivity issues
• Conduct pre-install testing and resolve issues impacting service delivery
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams
• Lead activation and troubleshooting conference bridges
• Document engineering activities and complete tasks within required SLAs
🔹 Must-Have Skills
✅ Strong telecommunications and VoIP experience
✅ Deep understanding of telephone number porting processes and terminology
✅ Hands-on experience with Cisco BroadSoft/BroadWorks
✅ Experience with Sonus platforms and related network components
✅ Strong troubleshooting and call-tracing skills
✅ Experience with IP networking, routers, switches, firewalls, and SBCs
✅ Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity and identify root causes
✅ Strong Excel skills, including data comparison and macros
✅ Strong ownership, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
✅ Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
🔹 Nice-to-Have Experience
• Polycom, Ribbon, Cisco, or AudioCodes
• IP phones, analog gateways, paging, and adjunct equipment
• Google Workspace / Google Sheets
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent vendor certifications
• Experience supporting large-scale telecom migrations
🔹 Important Details
• Candidates must be available onsite in Irving, TX on Day 1
• Relocation candidates are welcome if they can relocate at their own expense
• Rotating shifts may include occasional weekends and holidays
• Government security clearance process begins on the first day of employment and may take approximately 60 days
