  • Perform fiber troubleshooting and testing using Fluke testers and other testing equipment.
  • Install and validate power connections, including PDUs, dual-feed configurations, and redundancy requirements.
  • Configure airflow best practices for DX-cooled environments.
  • Install and validate direct-to-chip (D2C) liquid cooling systems, including cold plates, hoses, manifolds, and quick disconnects.
  • Perform visual inspections for leaks and ensure proper routing, strain relief, and secure connections.

  • Validate hardware functionality through POST checks and BIOS/firmware verification.
  • Perform basic network connectivity testing and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct post-installation quality assurance and validation activities.
  • Perform cable, power, labeling, and airflow audits.
  • Identify and resolve installation issues or escalate when necessary.
  • Support and mentor L1 technicians while promoting installation best practices.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project teams, and operations personnel.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and installation progress reports.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow all data center safety standards, procedures, and permit requirements.
  • Promote safe work practices and address unsafe conditions proactively.
  • Apply electrical safety awareness when working with powered equipment and PDUs.
  • Follow safe handling procedures for liquid cooling systems, including leak prevention and response.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Report hazards, incidents, and non-compliance issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

  • Understanding of rack power distribution, PDUs, dual feeds, and redundancy concepts.
  • Familiarity with DX cooling and direct-to-chip (D2C) liquid cooling systems.
  • Experience with OS installation, imaging tools, and hardware validation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and MOPs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead junior technicians.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements within data center environments.
  • Ability to travel as required and perform physically demanding installation work.

Preferred Qualifications
