We are seeking an Engineer II Specialist – Interconnect to support wireless network deployment initiatives across Macro, Small Cell, C-RAN, V-RAN, 5G, and C-Band programs. This role will be responsible for coordinating interconnect and transport activities, managing vendors, tracking deployment milestones, and ensuring network readiness to support wireless expansion initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting wireless network deployments, transport/interconnect delivery, vendor management, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration within a telecommunications environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support initiatives to optimize telecom interconnect costs and network routing efficiency.
- Develop and manage monthly interconnect implementation plans supporting Macro, Small Cell, C-RAN, V-RAN, 5G, and C-Band deployment targets.
- Coordinate with RF Design, Real Estate, Construction, Operations, Facilities, System Performance, and Planning teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage vendors and service providers to meet project milestones and site turn-up schedules.
- Oversee transport and interconnect activities associated with wireless network deployments.
- Track project schedules, risks, dependencies, and escalations.
- Manage budgets, procurement activities, and project deliverables.
- Support deployment of new technologies and services within the wireless network.
- Provide status reporting and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive project completion while ensuring adherence to timelines and business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in telecommunications, wireless deployment, transport engineering, or interconnect operations.
- Experience supporting Macro Cell, Small Cell, C-RAN, V-RAN, LTE, and 5G network deployments.
- Knowledge of transport, fiber, backhaul, circuit delivery, and interconnect processes.
- Experience managing vendors, project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Strong understanding of wireless network deployment lifecycle and site turn-up processes.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous client Wireless experience.
- Experience supporting C-Band, 5G, Small Cell, or C-RAN deployment programs.
- Experience with transport provisioning, circuit delivery, and network implementation.
- Knowledge of telecom budgeting and procurement processes.
- Strong project management and vendor management experience.
- Experience working with wireless construction and deployment teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or related field.
