We are seeking an experienced Data Center Site Lead to oversee and coordinate on-site data center operations in Columbus, OH. In this role, you’ll manage a team of dedicated technicians, ensuring service excellence, operational safety, and compliance with company standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
This position requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Communication
- Build trusted relationships with customers through regular communication.
- Provide detailed, high-quality reports as scheduled or requested.
Team & Operations Leadership
- Manage technician scheduling, ticket assignments, and workforce availability.
- Supervise third-party vendor activities and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections for safety, performance, and cleanliness.
- Address and resolve operational or interpersonal issues promptly and professionally.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a strong safety culture under the company’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) framework.
- Perform regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and immediate response to unsafe behaviors or conditions.
Project Management
- Coordinate on-site activities across disciplines to meet project goals, costs, and timelines.
- Monitor implementation schedules to ensure consistent delivery quality.
- Recommend and integrate improvements to on-site processes and workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on data center experience (transport focus preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Proven project management experience meeting cost, quality, and timeline targets.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of performing job duties (lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, walking between sites).
Training & Certifications
Candidates must hold or be able to obtain:
- OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour General Industry certifications
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Ergonomics training
- Ongoing refresher training as required.
