Become a Key Player as a Technical Business Development Representative
You will drive technical customer engagement to surface high-value opportunities and accelerate pipeline for the organization. You’ll partner with engineers, program managers, and operators to translate technical needs into clear paths to value. This is a Hybrid role that requires you onsite Monday through Thursday in Marina Del Rey, CA, collaborating closely with field and sales teams.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact on the Team
- Own a portfolio of accounts and bring discipline and urgency from first touch through handoff to sales demo
- Travel to and represent the organization at events to initiate technical conversations and gather market intelligence
- Map complex organizations to understand decision-making structures, program timelines, and technical requirements
- Prospect and qualify strategically, targeting stakeholders in aerospace, defense, and industrial automation
- Run deep discovery focused on technical workflows, system bottlenecks, safety protocols, and organizational goals
- Develop opportunities by identifying where the platform can accelerate decision-making, reduce downtime, or improve safety
- Support field initiatives such as events and dinners to elevate the organization’s role in the market
Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- 1–3 years in a high-performance, customer-facing environment (e.g., B2B sales, consulting, military, program/capture management, research analysis, or technical sourcing)
- Technical curiosity and confidence speaking with engineers, program leads, and operations teams
- Demonstrated success navigating complex buying processes, ideally in government, defense, or advanced manufacturing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complexity into clear, actionable insight
- Track record of ownership and follow-through in ambiguous, high-autonomy environments
