The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with the ability to manage international financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting across multiple currencies and suppliers. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and journal entries related to import activities. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing international vendor invoices, freight, customs, and duties. Monitor and reconcile foreign currency transactions, ensuring accuracy in exchange rate applications. Track inventory, landed costs, and margins for imported goods. Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and financial statements. Partner with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to align accounting data with shipment and cost information. Prepares various Balance Sheet reconciliations and research issues. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and import/export regulations. Participate in audits and provide supporting documentation. Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting accuracy. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2–5 years of accounting experience, ideally within import/export, wholesale, or manufacturing sectors. Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles. Experience with foreign currency accounting, landed cost allocation, and inventory reconciliation preferred. Proficiency in NetSuite, or equivalent ERP/accounting systems. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills. Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
