Next Generation Men & Women (Next Gen) is an education nonprofit dedicated to ensuring every student is prepared to seize the opportunities life has to offer. We partner with schools, youth-serving organizations, companies, and colleges to provide under-resourced Atlanta youth with meaningful exposure and support that prepares them for what comes next. Through this work, Next Gen builds a strong community of support that helps young people develop vision, access, and the tools to pursue college, career, and long-term success.
THE ROLE
As Manager, Partnerships & Volunteer Engagement, you will lead the growth and activation of Next Gen’s “village” — a network of employers, colleges, and professionals who open doors for our students and alumni. You will build and manage a strong pipeline of partners, align opportunities to student interests, and create meaningful volunteer experiences that deepen engagement beyond a single interaction. This role requires a strong relationship builder who can recruit, steward, and activate partners while coordinating across internal teams to ensure high-quality, consistent experiences. You will play a critical role in expanding access so more students can see and pursue what’s possible for their future.
A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional experience
- Experience in partnerships, business development, volunteer engagement, or program coordination
- Experience building and managing external relationships (corporate, nonprofit, or higher ed preferred)
- Experience managing multiple projects or priorities simultaneously
- Experience working with data tracking systems or CRM tools preferred

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
- Strong relationship builder with the ability to engage corporate, nonprofit, and education partners

- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to track engagement and use data to inform next steps
- Creative problem-solver who can think critically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Energy and presence to represent Next Gen externally and engage partners in meaningful ways
- Resourceful and solution-oriented, with a strong ability to navigate challenges and keep work moving forward
- Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through without constant direction
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and balancing execution across core programming and new initiatives
