What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Programs position at Next Generation Men & Women?
Next Generation Men & Women (Next Gen) is an education nonprofit dedicated to ensuring every student is prepared to seize the opportunities life has to offer. We partner with schools, youth-serving organizations, companies, and colleges to provide under-resourced Atlanta youth with meaningful exposure and support that prepares them for what comes next. Through this work, Next Gen builds a strong community of support that helps young people develop vision, access, and the tools to pursue college, career, and long-term success.
THE ROLE
As Director of Programs, you will lead the execution of Next Gen programming and play a critical role in delivering high-quality career exposure experiences. You will oversee logistics, align multiple stakeholders, and drive strong operational consistency across both our core programming and a growing partner-based pilot model. This role requires someone highly organized, proactive, and energized by working across multiple priorities while supporting students and external partners. You will help bring our experiences to life in ways that expand access, strengthen partnerships, and ensure that more students see what’s possible for their future.
A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of professional experience in program leadership, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Experience designing, leading, or improving programs with clear outcomes
- Experience in building and managing external partnerships or stakeholder relationships
- Strong project management and operational planning experience
- Experience using data to inform decisions and track outcomes
