Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate -Biology-II with hands-on experience in cell biology, immunology, and CAR-T research to support preclinical and IND-enabling programs.
The ideal candidate will contribute to cell therapy research through execution of in vitro assays, cell culture, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques in a collaborative biotech environment.
Title: Research Associate - Biology - II
Location: Santa Monica, CA (5 days onsite) Need only locals
Note - This is not an entry level position. Only have academic/theoretical exposure will not work for this role.
- Culture, QC, and maintain solid tumor and primary T-cell lines
- Engineer, culture, and characterize CAR-T cells in vitro
- Perform cell-based functional assays including cytotoxicity and proliferation assays
- Execute molecular and analytical assays including qPCR, ddPCR, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, and Luminex/MSD
- Analyze and interpret experimental data using FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, FACSDiva, and Excel
- Design and execute hypothesis-driven experiments
- Maintain accurate documentation and experimental records
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support Pre-IND/IND research activities
- Contribute to a fast-paced and innovative research environment
Skills Required:
BS with 4 years or MS with 2 years of relevant experience in Cell Biology and/or Immunology
Hands-on CAR-T research experience
Experience with primary T-cell isolation, culture, and functional assays
Experience with multicolor flow cytometry and data analysis
Familiarity with xCELLigence/eSight assays
Experience with ex vivo CAR-T manufacturing preferred
Strong experimental design and scientific data interpretation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
