We are currently seeking a Quality Control Technician I – QC Lab Support to join a growing Quality Control team in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Location: Frederick, MD (100% Onsite – Lab Environment)
Position Details
- Job Title: Quality Control Technician I – QC Lab Support
- Location: Frederick, MD
- Shift: Day Shift (4 x 10-hour schedule)
- Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Duration: Ongoing Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming samples, verify documentation, and enter sample information into LIMS.
- Support sample receipt, processing, aliquoting, and preparation for release, stability testing, and retain programs.
- Label, store, organize, and maintain samples according to established procedures and storage requirements.
- Coordinate sample transfers to internal and external testing laboratories.
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and restocking of sample storage areas.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Material Management, Manufacturing, and Corporate teams to support sampling, testing, and disposition activities.
- Manage and complete shipping activities related to QC functions.
- Review and maintain records including chain of custody forms, processing logs, logbooks, and related documentation.
- Assist with deviations, investigations, and corrective action activities as needed.
- Participate in daily and weekly team meetings and provide status updates.
- Support Lean Lab and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; OR
- Associate Degree with 2 years of experience in Quality Control or biopharmaceutical laboratories, preferably in an FDA-regulated environment; OR
- High School Diploma with 3 years of experience in Quality Control or biopharmaceutical laboratories, preferably in an FDA-regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of GMP requirements within a Quality Control laboratory environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Visio.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adjust schedules and work overtime when required.
