Responsibilities
- Set up and operate band saws, circular saws, miter saws, and other cutting equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and cutting specifications
- Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality and accuracy
- Measure and mark materials using tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including blade changes and lubrication
- Ensure all cuts meet quality control standards and precise tolerances
- Handle materials safely and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow OSHA safety regulations to promote a secure work environment
- Maintain accurate production records and report any issues promptly
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction setting
- Familiarity with various saws and cutting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of metals, woods, and plastics and their cutting methods
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor saw maintenance
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: Technical certification in manufacturing, welding, or machining
- OSHA or other safety certifications are highly recommended
Pay
$19.00 per hour
Schedule
Full Time | Day Shift | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM | Monday–Friday
