Quality Control Team Lead | Henderson, NV

Nexeo Staffing is hiring an experienced Quality Control Team Lead for a large global transportation and logistics operation in Henderson. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented warehouse quality professional with experience in continuous auditing, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, process improvement, and employee coaching.

The Quality Control Team Lead will coordinate daily safety and quality activities across inbound, outbound, and inventory operations. You will help maintain compliance with company standards, OSHA and SDS requirements, standard work instructions, and established warehouse procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a continuous daily quality-auditing program throughout warehouse operations.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify safety, quality, and process-compliance concerns.
• Verify that employees follow standard work instructions, standard operating procedures, and established quality requirements.
• Oversee quality-control activities supporting inbound receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and audit cycle-count results.
• Investigate shortages, mispicks, shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, and other operational quality issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain the Document Control Center and ensure quality records are complete, accurate, and current.
• Review controlled documents and validate information against applicable Quality Information Systems.
• Lead continuous-improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
• Use audit results and performance data to identify trends and improve warehouse processes.
• Partner with warehouse leadership to coach employees, improve performance, and reinforce individual accountability.
• Enforce PPE requirements, dock-safety rules, and other workplace safety procedures.
• Ensure incidents, hazards, and near-misses are documented and reported promptly.
• Improve communication with customers and suppliers regarding quality concerns.
• Prepare accurate documentation for return shipments.
• Support customer-service response-time goals and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous quality-control or quality-assurance experience in a warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment center, or logistics environment.
• Team-lead, coaching, or employee-development experience.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, cycle counting, shipping, and receiving.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or comparable process-improvement methods.
• Experience with document control, quality-management systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, SDS documentation, PPE standards, and warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to conduct audits, analyze data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work the selected schedule reliably. 
  • Preferred: Experience in large-scale warehouse, transportation, or third-party logistics (3PL) environments.

Pay

$25.50-$26.30 per hour

Schedule 

Full Time | Multiple shifts available:

• First Shift | 4:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. | Monday-Thursday
• Second Shift | 1:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. | Monday-Thursday
• Swing Shift | 9:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. | Sunday-Thursday
• Weekend Day Shift | 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. | Friday-Sunday
• Weekend Night Shift | 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. | Friday-Sunday
