Pool & Spa Technician | Bear Lake, UT
Join a trusted service team supporting pools, spas, cold plunges, saunas, and steam systems throughout the Bear Lake region. This full-time, year-round position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working independently, solving mechanical issues, and delivering exceptional service to residential and luxury vacation properties. Technicians are responsible for maintaining water quality, equipment performance, and a high standard of professionalism at every service location.
Responsibilities
- Test, balance, and document water chemistry for pools, hot tubs, and other aquatic systems.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on pools, spas, cold plunges, saunas, and steam systems.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, filters, heaters, automation controls, and saltwater systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform field repairs when possible.
- Identify concerns early and escalate major repairs when necessary.
- Complete seasonal pool and spa openings, closings, and winterization procedures.
- Maintain accurate service records, chemistry logs, and customer documentation.
- Operate independently while managing a daily service route and schedule.
- Ensure equipment areas and workspaces remain clean, organized, and professional.
- Provide courteous customer service while working at occupied residential and vacation properties.
- Safely tow equipment trailers and operate company vehicles as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to tow a trailer safely and confidently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
- Comfortable performing repetitive testing and maintaining precise water chemistry standards.
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as required.
- Previous pool and spa service experience preferred.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience in related trades such as HVAC, plumbing, irrigation, mechanical service, boiler systems, or equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Must reside in Bear Lake County, ID, or Rich County, UT.
Pay
$18.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule
Full Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
