Quality Assurance Inspector | La Verkin, UT

Nexeo Staffing is actively seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join a high-precision manufacturing environment in the St. George/La Verkin area. This role is critical in ensuring that machined parts meet strict quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
 If you have experience in quality inspection, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools, this is a great opportunity to grow within a stable and fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article inspections (FAI) on parts produced during machine setup
• Conduct final inspections on completed products prior to shipment
• Complete dimensional and visual inspections to verify compliance with specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Utilize inspection equipment such as: 
  • Micrometers, calipers, height gauges
  • Optical comparator, Keyence systems
  • Thread gauges, gauge pins, concentricity gauges
• Inspect products on the production floor as required
• Identify, document, and report defects or non-conforming products
• Perform rework and sorting activities to bring parts into compliance
• Complete AS9102 and customer-required documentation
• Maintain records and databases of quality inspections and defect tracking

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Preferred: 
    • 1–2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI)
    • GD&T interpretation
    • AS9102 documentation experience
    • Experience with precision measurement tools
    • Familiarity with manufacturing quality assurance processes
    • Experience with visual and dimensional inspection
    • Knowledge of ISO or aerospace quality standards (a plus)
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/production floor environment
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive inspections
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally

Pay

$17.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
