Nexeo Staffing is seeking dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Operators to join a leading food manufacturing facility in Tremonton, Utah. In this role, you will operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment while supporting safety, quality, and production goals. This position offers a unique every-other-weekend schedule with opportunities on both day and night shifts, making it an excellent fit for candidates seeking part-time manufacturing work with weekday flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments to support production schedules.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and assist with basic repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and support equipment reliability efforts.
• Conduct quality inspections and verify products meet company standards.
• Record production, downtime, waste, and quality data accurately.
• Follow all safety, food safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas in accordance with company standards.
• Utilize hand and power tools to support machine operation and maintenance activities.
• Identify equipment or process concerns and communicate findings to leadership.
• Assist with training and supporting team members as needed.
• Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, quality, and sanitation teams to achieve department goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• 3 years of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or related experience preferred. 
  • Experience operating production or packaging equipment strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience performing machine changeovers, adjustments, and basic preventive maintenance preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Basic math and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and attend occasional meetings outside regularly scheduled hours when required.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Reliable transportation and ability to consistently commute to Tremonton, UT.
• Commitment to following all food safety, GMP, and workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to accurately complete production documentation and operating records.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work the assigned every-other-weekend schedule.

Pay

$24.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Every Other Weekend

Weekend Day Shift: Saturday & Sunday | 4:15 AM-4:30 PM (12-hour shifts)

Weekend Night Shift: Saturday & Sunday | 4:15 PM-4:30 AM (12-hour shifts)

Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
