This position focuses on local deliveries within a 50-mile radius using a 26-foot box truck, offering stable routes, strong benefits, and a professional driving environment.

You’ll be responsible for safely transporting and delivering cargo, working closely with dispatch and customers, and ensuring all freight is handled with care and accuracy. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-foot box truck in compliance with DOT, federal, state, and local regulations
• Complete local deliveries within a 50-mile radius
• Load, unload, secure, arrange, and balance freight using manual or powered pallet jacks
• Back truck into customer docks and position vehicle for safe unloading
• Perform pre-trip inspections, fueling, and basic vehicle checks; report mechanical issues before driving
• Operate vehicle controls, steering wheel, pedals, GPS, and onboard equipment for extended driving periods
• Climb in and out of the truck cab and cargo area multiple times per day using steps and handholds
• Bend, squat, crouch, twist, and reach as needed during inspections, loading/unloading, and freight handling
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customer representatives via radio and mobile devices
• Maintain compliance with DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements, including random and reasonable-suspicion testing
• Demonstrate safe, professional driving behavior at all times
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license required
• Minimum 2 years of CDL A driving experience within the past 4 years (3 years preferred)
• Must meet DOT qualification requirements (FMCSR 391.41)
• Must pass a national background check (no felonies ever, no misdemeanors within the past 7 years)
• Must pass a pre-employment, federally compliant drug screening
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience with load securement, route planning, and driving in various road and weather conditions
• Strong customer service skills and professionalism when handling sensitive cargo
• Detail-oriented and safety-focused mindset
• Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain one within 90 days, if required
• Physically able, with or without accommodation, to lift up to 50 lbs and push or pull freight weighing up to 125 lbs
• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving and remain alert
• Ability to frequently reach at waist level and occasionally above shoulder or below waist level
• Ability to climb 4–6 feet in and out of the truck multiple times per day
• Ability to stand and walk for portions of the shift on concrete, metal, or uneven surfaces
• Sufficient vision and hearing to safely operate a commercial vehicle, read logs, and communicate verbally
