Data Center New Product Innovation Supervisor | Sparks, NV

Join a global leader in logistics and data center operations. Nexeo HR is hiring a Data Center NPI Builds Supervisor to support a high-tech data center facility in Sparks, NV (near USA Parkway). This role oversees the strategic and daily operations of NPI (New Product Innovation) infrastructure build workflow. Ensuring all physical builds from rack population to final cabling are completed on schedule, within budget, and to global quality standards. 

This team operates within areas still under construction, making safety leadership, PPE compliance, and adaptability essential. Ideal candidates are proactive leaders who can bridge high-level planning with on-the-floor execution while supporting new product implementation, testing, and integration of new equipment and processes.

NPI Builds associates work in newly constructed or under-construction areas and are directly involved in implementing and testing new systems. This includes:

• Supporting new product implementation and integration of new equipment and processes
• Working in active construction zones
• Completing OSHA 10 certification within the first two weeks (cost covered if not already certified)

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily NPI build operations to ensure deployments meet production, quality, and schedule targets
• Lead and prioritize workflows to meet strict Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
• Allocate personnel, tools, and equipment based on project scope and urgency
• Supervise rack population, hardware installation, and structured cabling per SOPs and global standards
• Support testing, validation, and integration of new systems in an active construction environment
• Act as the final escalation point for quality assurance, deployment verification, and build sign-off
• Conduct inspections for inbound and outbound equipment and materials
• Ensure proper tracking of inventory, materials movement, cycle counts, and returns
• Assign tasks, monitor technician performance, and provide hands-on floor leadership
• Train, mentor, and coach teams on build standards, procedures, and documentation
• Continuously evaluate workflows, identify bottlenecks, and apply lean methodologies to reduce “Time to Ready”
• Enforce safety standards, PPE usage, and promote a strong safety culture
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and customers in a highly customer-facing capacity
• Prepare production reporting and documentation using Excel, Word, and Slides
• Troubleshoot technical, operational, or personnel challenges to minimize downtime
• Operate pallet jacks and material-handling equipment when moving palletized parts
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all SOPs and safety procedures
• Perform additional physical data center tasks including lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 required within the first two weeks (training cost covered)
• 2 years of leadership experience in data center builds, NPI, construction, manufacturing, or related fields
• Experience supporting new product implementation, testing, and process integration
• Experience acting as a safety leader and promoting strong safety culture (preferred)
• Experience developing or improving SOPs or SWIs (preferred)
• Proficiency with power tools, structured cabling, and rack build tasks
• Ability to read and follow schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with inventory systems, SOPs, and quality assurance processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills
• High attention to detail with strong multitasking capability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and presentation tools
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation to the worksite on USA Parkway
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must pass a national background check (no felonies ever; no misdemeanors in the last 7 years)

Pay

$35.00 per hour

Schedule

Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Must be willing and available to work overtime as needed.
