What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Teller position at Newtown Savings Bank?

Newtown Savings Bank is seeking bright, enthusiastic individuals for Summer Teller opportunities at several of our branch locations. These positions will perform a full range of Bank Teller duties while creating a welcoming customer friendly environment. This is an excellent way to learn if Retail Banking is the path you would like to pursue.
The Teller will provide prompt and courteous service to customers involving receipt and payment of cash, as well as recognizing customer's needs and suggest appropriate banking services. The typical hours for this position are Monday-Wednesday from 8:30 am-5:00 pm, Thursday-Friday from 8:30 am-6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:30 am-12:15 pm. The 37.5 hours per week temporary position timeframe will be late May through August. Priority will be given to applicants who can commit to working the full timeframe.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Have excellent math skills.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Ability to listen well and follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Cash handling, customer service, and sales experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Typical office environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- May require working in a standing position for continuous periods of time
