Description

The Homemaker provides essential housekeeping and companion services to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for clients in their homes. The Homemaker helps clients remain independent by assisting with household tasks and promoting a positive home atmosphere.

The Homemaker works under the direction and supervision of the Designated Coordinator (DC) and in accordance with the individual’s care plan and agency policies.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background study, including fingerprinting, as required by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS).
• Must maintain current TB testing and demonstrate good physical and mental health.
• Demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude toward others.
• Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Demonstrate dependability, integrity, and strong commitment to client service excellence.
• Previous experience in home care, custodial, or housekeeping work preferred but not required.
