Role Description
NewSouth NeuroSpine is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist with expertise in electrodiagnostic medicine to join our multidisciplinary spine practice in Flowood, Mississippi.
This physician will focus on the diagnostic evaluation of patients with spine and peripheral nerve disorders through comprehensive neurologic consultations, electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies (NCS). Working alongside neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, and other spine specialists, the Neurologist will play an essential role in identifying neurologic conditions, confirming diagnoses, and helping guide individualized treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
- Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure.
- Demonstrated expertise in electrodiagnostic medicine, including EMG and nerve conduction studies.
- Strong clinical knowledge of peripheral nerve disorders, radiculopathy, neuropathy, and neuromuscular disease.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.
Preferences
- Fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular Medicine, or Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
- Experience practicing within a multidisciplinary spine or musculoskeletal practice.
- Interest in collaborating closely with spine surgeons and interventional specialists.
- Experience building referral relationships and contributing to practice growth.
- Interest in physician leadership and quality improvement initiatives.
