Position Summary
The Business Office Manager (BOM) oversees the business office functions, including billing, collections, resident accounts, and related financial processes for the facility.
Responsibilities
Oversee billing and collection of outstanding accounts, including private pay, insurance, and third-party payers.
Manage resident trust accounts and related documentation.
Ensure payments for billings are posted accurately and in a timely manner and prepare deposits as needed.
Maintain accurate financial records to support timely month-end closing.
Ensure proper accounting procedures and internal controls are followed.
Collaborate with residents, families, and third-party payers to resolve account questions and issues.
Perform other business office duties as assigned by facility leadership.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Skilled Nursing Facility Business Office Manager experience required.
Strong knowledge of billing, collections, and healthcare payer processes.
Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills.
Proficiency with basic office software and systems.
