Job Description (Caregiver Support Needed)

Member needs hands-on caregiving support in the home, with a strong focus on incontinence care and communication support due to being nonverbal. Caregiver should be comfortable providing patient, calm, and respectful care, following family preferences and routines. The home includes family members, so the caregiver must work well around others and maintain privacy and professionalism.

We prefer caregivers who are within a 30-minute drive of the member’s home.

Required Duties (Texas STAR PLUS Caregiver Requirements)

Personal Care / ADLs: Assistance with toileting and incontinence care (brief changes, hygiene, skin care support). Bathing and grooming assistance as needed. Dressing assistance as needed. Support with safe transfers and repositioning as needed (following family guidance and care plan)
Communication & Behavioral Support: Patient, supportive interaction with a nonverbal member (using cues, routines, and family direction) Maintain a calm environment and follow established routines
Light Housekeeping (care-related): Cleaning and sanitizing areas used during care (bathroom surfaces, changing area, etc.) Laundry related to the member (linens/clothing as needed) General tidying of the member’s immediate area
Meal Support: Basic meal/snack preparation and cleanup as needed (per family instructions)
