Job Description

This member requires a compassionate and attentive caregiver who can assist with daily living activities due to general weakness, paralysis, and memory loss. The member is not bedbound but does need support with mobility and safety monitoring due to physical limitations and cognitive challenges. Assistance is needed with reminders, redirection, and maintaining a consistent routine to help manage memory-related issues. The member also experiences sleep apnea and insomnia, so a calm and patient demeanor is essential, especially during evening hours. The caregiver must be comfortable working in a smoke-friendly environment, as the member is a smoker. There are no pets in the home.

Texas Star Plus Caregiver Requirements

• Assistance with grooming and hygiene
  
• Meal preparation and feeding support
  
• Light housekeeping (sweeping, dishes, laundry, etc.)
  
• Mobility assistance and safety supervision
  
• Companionship and cognitive support (memory care)
  
• Medication reminders (no administration)
  
• Support with bedtime routine and evening care
  
• Monitoring and reporting any changes in condition
