Job Description
Member needs hands-on caregiving support due to significant mobility limitations and requires assistance with safe transfers and daily personal care. Caregiver should be comfortable providing care for a male adult who may need help with toileting routines and bladder-related care support (non-medical), as well as maintaining comfort and skin safety while seated/positioned. Ideal caregiver is patient, dependable, and confident with wheelchair-level care, transfer assistance (including use of proper body mechanics), and maintaining a respectful, professional approach in a shared household (member lives with family).

Required Duties (Texas STAR PLUS Caregiver Requirements)
Personal Care Assistance: Bathing/showering support, grooming, dressing, hygiene, and toileting assistance as needed.
Mobility & Safety Support: Assistance with transfers (bed/chair/wheelchair), repositioning for comfort, and maintaining a safe environment to reduce fall/injury risk.
Light Housekeeping: Tidying client areas, laundry/linen changes, dishes, and general cleaning to maintain a sanitary living space.
Meal Support: Meal preparation, basic cooking, and cleanup (as requested/needed).
Medication Reminders (Non-Clinical): Provide reminders only, as permitted by the program and care plan.
Communication & Documentation: Report changes/concerns to the agency, follow the care plan, and document tasks per agency requirements.
Pets: No pets in the home.
Household: Member lives with family (sister and nephew).
