Job Description

Member is an adult female who needs a dependable caregiver to assist with daily support due to ongoing chronic pain that can limit comfort, stamina, and mobility throughout the day. Caregiver should be patient, gentle, and attentive - able to help the member move safely around the home, complete daily routines at a comfortable pace, and maintain a calm, supportive environment.The member lives with a family member. Caregiver should be respectful of the household and able to work cooperatively while maintaining the member’s privacy and dignity.

Note: We are seeking a caregiver who lives within 30 minutes of the member’s home.

Texas STAR PLUS Caregiver Duties 

Personal Care Assistance: Help with grooming, hygiene, dressing, and other routine self-care as needed (always encouraging independence when possible). Mobility & Safety Support: Stand-by assistance with walking/transfers as needed; help maintaining a safe home environment to reduce fall risk. Meal Support: Meal preparation and light kitchen clean-up; support with hydration and regular meals. Light Housekeeping: General tidying, wiping surfaces, sweeping/mopping as needed, taking out trash, and maintaining a clean, comfortable living space. Errands/Shopping: If shopping/errands are needed, driving may be required (caregiver must have reliable transportation and be comfortable running local errands). Companionship: Friendly conversation, reassurance, and supportive presence—especially helpful on higher-pain days. Observation & Reporting: Monitor for changes in comfort, mobility, or overall condition and report concerns to the agency per care plan guidelines.
