💼 The Role
As the Regional HR Manager, you are the strategic partner to 5–8 facility Administrators. You will travel between sites to resolve complex employee relations issues, reduce turnover among clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), and ensure we remain survey-ready for state and federal compliance.
You will be the bridge between "business operations" and "employee well-being."
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership
- Partner with Regional Operations Directors to reduce overtime costs and agency staffing usage through retention strategies.
- Analyze turnover data and exit interviews to implement region-wide retention action plans.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Investigate high-risk claims including harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Joint Commission (TJC) or CMS HR standards.
- Manage reasonable accommodation requests (ADA) for clinical staff with physical demands.
Talent Management
- Support facility HR Generalists with difficult recruitment for hard-to-fill roles (Night shift RNs, Certified Medication Aides).
- Oversee the licensure and certification tracking system to ensure no lapses in clinical credentials.
- Lead management training on difficult conversations, harassment prevention, and de-escalation.
Workers' Compensation & Safety
- Manage the region's Workers' Comp claims, focusing on return-to-work programs (light duty).
- Collaborate with Infection Preventionists on COVID-19/Flu vaccine exemption processes.
🧠 What You Bring
Required:
- Experience: 5 years of HR Generalist/Management experience, with at least 2 years specifically in a healthcare setting (Hospital, SNF, LTAC, or Home Health).
- Multi-Site: Proven ability to manage HR for multiple physical locations.
- Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and state-specific sick leave laws.
- Tech Savvy: Experience with HRIS (e.g., UKG, Paycom, Workday) and credentialing software.
- Travel: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 3-4 days per week.
Preferred:
- HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR).
- Experience with unions (collective bargaining agreements) is a huge plus.
