Salary Range: $95k-115k
The Accounts Payable Manager manages and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the AP department by overseeing the preparation, analysis and organization of AP function. The position is also responsible for managing staff, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of payments, and other duties assigned by the Controller.
Essential Duties of the Position:
Personnel Management:
• Manages daily employee activities including determining specific work assignments and monitoring individual staff productivity.
• Trains employees in policies and procedures related to AP function.
• Maintains strict confidentiality.
Support Functions:
• Manages all activities in the accounts payable function.
• Ensures timely submission of reports to treasury.
• Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Maintains accurate records of payments and invoices.
• Reviews accounts payable register to ensure accuracy and perform reconciliation on a monthly basis.
• Ensures that AP processes are performed by staff.
• Reviews and audits all check requests and seek necessary approval.
• Provides assistance to the Controller on developing and implementing specific reports and analyses.
Communication Skills:
• Works closely with Controller in communicating and assessing productivity and results.
• Provides written analyses and recommendations to the Controller.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• 3 or more years of AP management experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
