Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills, with experience in residential painting, welding, and troubleshooting. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property, providing excellent customer service to guests and staff alike.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and building infrastructure.
- Conduct residential painting projects to maintain the property's visual standards.
- Operate and interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex systems.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Supervise or assist with small renovation or remodeling projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and building codes during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate repairs that minimize disruption to hotel operations.
- Lead or assist in supervising maintenance staff or interns when required.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs.
- Proficiency in using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and manufacturing-related maintenance is a plus.
- Skilled in welding and residential painting techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills for overseeing maintenance teams or projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks efficiently.
- Customer service orientation to address guest needs professionally during maintenance activities.
