Overview
ZNJ Excavation is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Foreman / Operator to lead field crews while operating heavy equipment on commercial construction projects. This role combines hands-on equipment operation with job site leadership, coordination, and safety oversight. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced in managing crews and equipment in active construction environments.
Experience
- 5 years experience in civil excavation and underground utility work
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment on active job sites
- Experience with storm, sanitary, and water utilities
- Experience with over-excavation, foundation preparation, grading, and backfill, curb and gutter prep, asphalt prep, concrete structure.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting civil/site plans, grades, and specifications
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety and quality standards
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable team member
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
