Overview
ZNJ Excavation is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to oversee commercial site development and utility construction projects. The Superintendent is responsible for managing field operations, coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials, while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive experience in commercial earthwork, underground utilities, and site development.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in heavy civil construction.
- Extensive experience managing commercial site development projects from mobilization through completion.
- Strong background in excavation, grading, underground utilities, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, domestic water, and site drainage.
- Experience with over-excavation, foundation preparation, structural backfill, curb and gutter preparation, asphalt preparation, and concrete structures.
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, grades, and survey information.
- Experience coordinating field crews, subcontractors, equipment, inspections, and material deliveries.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, production tracking, and quality control.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe job site.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with daily reports, production tracking, and project documentation.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
