Job Purpose
To effectively coordinate in partnership with the QESH Mgr the Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health functions on site and provide a level of service in line with customer requirements and legislation, at a level of cost agreed in the budget. To create and develop a professional culture on site, in line with our values and ensure that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on site.
Key Result Areas Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Reporting to the QESH Manager, the QESH Coordinator is accountable for the implementation and maintenance of QESH programs for NewCold Lebanon.
This is to include but is not limited to programs, policies and procedures that require federal, state, and local compliance and promote continual improvement within the company.
This position will also work to continuously improve standards to meet or exceed relevant internal and external QESH standards in a manner consistent with sound business practices.
To support a professional culture on site, in line with our values and ensure that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on site.
Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness across the site.
Facilitate the QESH portion of Employee onboarding.
Compliance with all regulatory agencies required or voluntary including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, FDA, FSMA, C-TPAT, BRC, etc..
Documents safety and environmental data for required company and regulatory reporting.
Advises and assists the site’s management, production leaders and employees manage risks regarding Safety and Health.
Assist in preparation of the monthly, quarterly and/or annual quality management review.
Participates in equipment installation and set-up to assist in design for safety, health, and environmental principles.
Continually look for opportunities for improvement
Requirements: Education, Experience and Physical demands
2 years of experience in a light industrial and/or warehouse environment
2 years of experience in Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health
Preferred candidate’s experience should include the knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, BRC, VPP, and First Aid
